The Peshawari Chappal

The Peshawari Chappal or Kherhi is a very popular shoe in Pakistan. Almost every man in the country has this particular footwear in his shoe collection. Coupled famously with Shalwar Kameez on any Desi formal occasion be it a Mehndi of a friend or Eid for that matter, this footwear has grown immense liking in every class and race in our society. It is a semi-closed footwear which consists of two wide strips where both strips are joined with the sole by crossing each other. There is a buckle on the back for grip and the whole shoe is traditionally made with leather. There are other names to it too like Charsadda style in which the front of the sole is slightly uplifted and Quetta and Norozi styles where the sole is bigger and wider to give it a sturdy look.
